About PaperSpend
PaperSpend reads the bank and credit-card statements you already have and turns them into one reconciled, categorized view of your monthly spending — no bank login, any institution.
No bank login. Any institution.

Why we built PaperSpend
Checking, savings and every credit card each tell part of the story, in a different format, behind a different login. Putting it together by hand takes hours, and the result is easy to get wrong.
We built PaperSpend so anyone can see where their money went, from the statements they already download, without handing a third party the keys to their bank.
What PaperSpend does
Upload a statement and PaperSpend extracts every transaction, checks the totals against the statement's own balances, and files each expense into a category.
Bank and credit-card PDFs, from any institution.
Every line is read and checked against the statement's balances.
Your spending, categorized by month and ready to explore or export.
What we believe
Getting money wrong is worse than not showing it at all. These rules are built into how PaperSpend works.
A statement that doesn't balance to the cent is flagged for review, never quietly imported.
Each transaction keeps the raw text it came from, so any total traces back to the original PDF.
A card payment shows up on two statements. We count it once, as a transfer, not as an expense.
No bank connections, no credentials, and your data is never sold.
